He’s back….the tax man! Dan McAllister is responsible for the yearly collection of more than $8 billion in property taxes and the investment management of nearly $15 billion in the County’s investment pool. He is also a member of the San Diego County Employees Retirement Association, which manages investments of approximately $10 billion. Dan, with his vast knowledge and signature quick wit, will discuss the local economy, pensions, the tax process and where our tax dollars go. Bring your questions and concerns.

Holiday Tree Lighting 2023

The Kensington Talmadge Community Association invites you to join us for the annual tree lighting in Kensington Park. The tree will be lit at approximately 5:00 P.M. on Friday, November 24th. Complimentary refreshments will be provided to launch the holiday season at 4:30 P.M. We offer our sincere thanks to generous contributors from local businesses, community groups and residents. We will serve hot chocolate, compliments of Ponce’s and cookies, compliments of Kensington Cafe.

Bring the family and enjoy the season with a festive community celebration! After the lighting, take a short walk to the Autism Center to see David Urban’s alpine village.

Join us for our third year celebrating National Night Out.This campaign promotes community-police partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer. In addition to free ice cream sundaes, there will be live music by Kensington resident Stan Sewitch and the Blue Hooz Band. Other groups represented will be the Kensington Normal Heights Library and Kensington Fire Safe. Bring your family and friends for a summer night in the park.
