About KenTal

Our History & Community Involvement

The Kensington Talmadge Community Association was founded in 1941 as a “service and fellowship association for the welfare and happiness of the Kensington and Talmadge communities.”

Programs are held four times per year featuring speakers of interest to the community. These meetings are typically held in October, January, March and May. Since 2022, the organization has expanded its focus to community fellowship and outreach.

The annual membership dues from residents and local businesses support a variety of programs. The association owns and maintains the Kensington sign and the American flags displayed along Adams Avenue on holidays by members. Ken-Tal holds quarterly meetings with speakers as well as co-sponsoring community events. These events are the Holiday Tree Lighting, National Night Out, Kensington Fire Safety and the Memorial Day Parade.

The Kensington Talmadge Community Association is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. If you would like to get involved, please email info@kental.orginfo@kental.org

Community Organizations Ken-Tal has supported:

Additionally, we publish a handy membership directory on an annual basis. We promote community interaction by hosting monthly dinner programs that cover various topics of interest and entertainment.

Throughout the year, we are involved in various community activities.
