Programs Canceled Until Further Notice
The Kensington-Talmadge Community Association looks forward to a time when we can share the fellowship of community again, but for now we will heed social distancing guidelines and stay at home.
We hope that our members and their families are safe and healthy. Hopefully, we will be able to resume programs in the Fall. Our strong sense of community and caring for one another will help us weather this crisis.

Will Kensington have a Holiday Tree?
Over the past few years the Adams Avenue Business Association has worked tirelessly to negotiate an agreement to make the holiday lights in the 90-foot Canary Island Pine tree in Kensington Park a permanent neighborhood tradition. A few weeks ago, with the help of Georgette Gomez’s office, the last hurdle with the city was cleared!
Now it is up to the community to help fund the Holiday Tree. The Kensington Talmadge Community Association and the Adams Avenue Business Association have each donated $3,500 to this project. An additional $10,000 needs to be raised to ensure that the tree can be lit starting this Thanksgiving.
The tree will be decorated with 3,000 LED lights and lit from Thanksgiving Day to New Year’s Day from 5 p.m.- 2 a.m. daily.
Donations can also be made via check made out to the Kensington Talmadge Community Association and mailed to 5040 Westminster Terrace, San Diego, CA 92116.
Donors names will be included in the official program that will be distributed at the lighting ceremony.
