Meet Peg Trout. Her chronicle of 53 of the nearly 400,000 women who served proudly during World War II will captivate and inspire you. They were in the Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard. They served in Europe, North Africa, the Far East and on Japanese-occupied islands in the Pacific. They were in the thick of it. Some were captured. Some did not come home.

Ms. Trout served in the Navy for seven years and is a Vietnam-era veteran. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Xavier University
