Mid-City Plan Update
In this downloadable PDF you will find correspondence from the leaders of the Kensington Talmadge Planning Group (KTPG) regarding the Mid-City Community Plan as well as a recent article from the San Diego Union Tribune and the current draft of the Mid City Communities Plan Update.
This is very important to Kensington and other Mid City communities (City Heights, Normal Heights, Talmadge and Rolando) as it determines development density and other factors for the next 30 years. The current proposal could boost the number of homes from 54,000 to 96,000, and the population from 138,000 to 227,000.
There is an important meeting coming up on September 21 st (KTPG meeting at the Kensington Community Church at 6:30 PM) where City planners will present the draft of this plan. We need to provide feedback and our concerns before a draft plan is finalized. The deadline for public comment is October 2nd and can be submitted at through the link below or by writing to PlanMidCity@SanDiego.gov

We have been asked to provide the following to our Kensington Community:
Make your voice heard San Diego!
SDSU is interested in knowing what San Diego residents think about their neighborhoods in a special online project.
All you have to do is fill out an online survey that will take no longer than 10-15 minutes in telling us about your neighborhood and connection with local news and information. You must be 18 years or older to participate.
This project is being led by Prof. Amy Schmitz Weiss at San Diego State University.
Those who participate in this project can enter into a random drawing to receive an Amazon gift card!
